Transparency, you can see
how KAYA&KATO makes supply chains traceable
Did you know that many items of clothing have travelled a long way before they end up in shops or online stores?
From raw material extraction to production to the finished product – it often remains unclear who was involved in each individual step.
At KAYA&KATO, we want to change exactly that.
That's why we recently started working with Retraced, a tool that makes our supply chains transparent. It allows us to trace where our materials come from, who processed them and which certifications or standards our partners meet.
A concrete example:
For our popular organic cotton T-shirt PORTO 2.0, we can now show you where the cotton yarn is knitted into jersey fabric, which production facility processed the fabric into a T-shirt and where its ingredients come from.
In this way, we want to ensure that our products are manufactured fairly and responsibly – and that you, as a customer, can trace that!
For us, transparency means trust
For us, transparency means not only responsibility, but also trust.
Because fashion can only be sustainable if we openly show how it is made.
With Retraced, we have found a tool that enables us to do just that – step by step.
