As part of a multi-stakeholder partnership with Elmer & Zweifel, IBM and our Ugandan partner company Gulu Agricultural Development Company, our blockchain project was nominated for the German Sustainability Award in the “Corporate Partnerships” category.
WINNER OF THE INTERGASTRA INNOVATION AWARD 2020
In February 2020, our sustainable workwear concept received the INTERGASTRA Innovation Award in the “Sustainability” category. The INTERGASTRA Innovation Award is an established industry award recognising innovative products, technologies and strategies in the out-of-home market. It is presented by Messe Stuttgart, Allgemeine Hotel- und Gastronomie-Zeitung and DEHOGA Baden-Württemberg for forward-looking ideas.
NOMINATED FOR THE INTERNORGA FUTURE PRIZE 2019
As one of three finalists, we were nominated at the opening of INTERNORGA 2019 for our sustainable workwear concept in the “Trendsetter Product – Technology & Equipment” category of the INTERNORGA Future Award. The industry award recognises innovative products, technologies and strategies in the out-of-home market. It is presented by INTERNORGA and Hamburg Messe and evaluated in advance by an expert jury.
WINNER OF THE ROLLING PIN NEWCOMER & INNOVATION AWARD 2018
At Chefdays 2018, KAYA&KATO received the Newcomer & Innovation Award from ROLLING PIN magazine for its innovative workwear concept. ROLLING PIN is a German-language trade magazine for the hospitality industry and organises an annual gastronomy and food symposium featuring leading speakers from around the world.
NOMINATED FOR THE 2018 FEDERAL ECO DESIGN PRIZE
In 2018, KAYA&KATO was nominated for the German Ecodesign Award for the design of our Basic chef jacket made from pure organic cotton. The chef jacket subsequently became part of a travelling exhibition across Germany.
